Capture Video Clips

You can now capture short video clips directly within photo list items in the mobile app and view the video clips in the Pathwave Portal. Video clips are supported in Primary Photo Lists and are included in closeout packages (COPs). This makes it possible to document complex site conditions, equipment behavior, or installation sequences that photos alone cannot capture.

Note: Video clips are not supported in Quality Review alongside photos.

Quality Review Dashboard: Additional Metrics

The Quality Review dashboard now has updated and new columns.

  • Job Photos - Updated

  • Review Photos - New

  • # Reviewed - New

  • # Not Taken - New

  • # Needs Review - New

  • # Resubmitted - New

  • # Rejected - New

  • # Missing - New

  • # Accepted - New

All new columns are also included in the CSV export.

A few things to keep in mind

  • Job Photos vs. Review Photos — "Job Photos" reflects all photos captured on the job regardless of upload method. "Review Photos" is scoped specifically to photos that are part of the active review type (e.g., if the review is Targeted, only those targeted photos are counted).

  • # Not Taken vs. # Missing — "Not Taken" means the photo label exists on the checklist but no photo has been submitted yet. "Missing" means the reviewer has specifically flagged a photo as missing.

  • Dashboard data is real-time — the dashboard refreshes on each page load, so the numbers you see reflect current state.

Reports: Photo Capture Sources

A new report, Photo Source Comparison, is available which includes number of photos captured by subcontractors:

  • Photos Captured in the Pathwave Mobile App

  • Photos Uploaded in the Pathwave Mobile App

  • Photos Uploaded in the Pathwave Portal

Reports: Rejection Reason Metrics

A new report, Rejection Reason Metrics, is available for partners utilizing Quality Reviews. Partners can utilize this report to track and trend common rejection reasons by Subcontractor.

ESDT Output Name Displayed on Photo List Labels

Job Photos now have an indicator displaying photos sent to ESDT. The ESDT output name is displayed.

Note: If the ESDT indicator is not visible, the photo label is a custom photo label.

Shared Company Docs

Field users can now access shared company documents and supplier guides directly from the mobile app. A Shared Company Doc Folder can be configured containing PDFs and images, which is automatically available to connected subcontractors.

  • Access shared PDFs, images, and hyperlinks from within the app

  • Content is shared from the supplier level down to subcontractors automatically

Mobile App: View Site Access Details & Provide Feedback

Field crews can now view site access details directly in the mobile app before and during a site visit. Crews can also submit a validation confirming whether site access details are accurate or flag them as inaccurate with a note.

If Site Access details are available for a Job, select “Site Access” on the Job Details screen in the Mobile App to view access details. Field Crews can provide feedback if Site Details are inaccurate.

Mobile App: Site Walk On

The Add Site Walk-On screen in the JHA workflow now includes a Company Name field. This information carries through to the signature page in the generated PDF, providing clearer attribution for non-crew personnel added to the site log.

Mobile App: JHA Workflow Improvements

The JHA workflow has been streamlined - key changes include a searchable picker for Type of JHA and JHA Personnel and navigational guidance is added to the JHA workflow.

  • Searchable dropdowns on Type of JHA and JHA Personnel
  • The next step in the JHA workflow is highlighted blue and animated to guide users to the next step to complete safety documentation.

Mobile App: Register/Log in Code via Email or Phone Number

Users can now register and log in using an email-based verification code instead of a US phone number. For any field crews without US-based phone numbers that can receive text messages, utilize the verification code sent to an email.

  • MFA codes can be delivered to an email address or phone number at registration and login

Mobile App: Ability to Upload Photos for Rejected Items

Field crew members can now upload a photo from their device gallery to fulfill a retake or rejected photo requirement in Quality Review. Previously, crew members had to take a new photo with the camera. This update gives crews flexibility when a photo was already captured outside of Pathwave and needs to be submitted for review.

  • Upload from gallery when responding to a rejected or retake request

  • Uploaded photos are subject to the same Quality Review workflow as camera-captured photos

Permissions: Mark Photo as NA

Specific photo labels can now be configured to prevent field users from marking them as N/A entirely, regardless of any other partner-level N/A settings. This control is set on the photo label level and is enforced on the Mobile App.

  • Configured in the photo list at the individual photo label level

  • Overrides any field-user-facing N/A permission settings

  • Applies to all users on that job, regardless of role

Additionally, Partners can prevent field users for Subcontractors and/or Internal Crews from marking a photo as NA. contractor types can mark photos as N/A.

  • An NA icon with a line through it is displayed in the mobile app if NA is not available.

  • Setting is controlled at the partner level

  • Applies to subcontractor and crew users within that partner's network

  • Configuration occurs via Pathwave Support & Customer Success Teams.

Permissions: Ability to Upload Photos

A new setting is available that prevents field users from uploading photos from their device camera roll. When enabled, crew members must capture photos using the in-app camera, ensuring that all photos are time-stamped and location-verified at capture.

  • Setting is controlled at the partner level

  • Applies to subcontractor and crew users within that partner's network

  • Configuration occurs via Pathwave Support & Customer Success Teams.
