6.2 Finalize Review in the Portal
Step-by-step instructions for finalizing a Quality Review once all actions have been resolved.
Overview
Once all items within a Quality Review have been addressed—photos accepted, Missing Photos captured, rejected photos corrected, and N/A items validated—the reviewer can formally complete the review. Completing a review locks in all decisions, finalizes the audit trail, and prepares the review for export or customer submission.
This article walks through exactly how to complete a review in the Pathwave portal and what reviewers should confirm before finalizing.
1. Verify All Completion Requirements
Before completing a review, confirm that:
- No items remain in Photos Not Taken
- No Rejected Photos exist
- All Missing Photos have been submitted
- No items remain in Need Review
- No items remain in Resubmitted Photos
- All N/A items have been validated via View N/A
- Any hidden items are truly non-applicable
- All accepted photos meet quality and scope requirements
- (See Article 6.1 for full completion criteria.)
2. Open the Review
To begin the completion process:
- Navigate to the Quality Review Workspace.
- Select the review that is currently In Progress.
This opens the full review workspace.
3. Review the Summary Panel
Use the Review Summary Panel to verify that all actions have been resolved.
The panel displays:
- Total number of photos
- Number reviewed vs. total required
- Review type
- Review status
- Reviewer(s)
- Scheduled and actual review dates
- Photo submission timeline (daily breakdown)
4. Select “Complete Review”
Once all conditions are met:
- Click Complete Review at the top of the review workspace.
- A confirmation modal appears.
- Review the summary of outstanding items (if any).
- Confirm completion.
If unresolved actions exist, the system will alert the reviewer and prevent completion until all items are resolved.
5. What Happens When a Review is Completed
Completing a review triggers the following:
System-Level Changes
- Review status updates to Completed
- No further edits can be made to the review

- N/A validation is finalized

- Rejected photo exports reflect only final accepted items
- Completed reviews appear as “Completed” in the Quality Review Dashboard
This ensures a consistent, auditable record for internal and external stakeholders.
6. If You Need to Make Additional Changes
Once a review is completed:
- No edits can be made within that review.
- To make further updates or evaluate additional photos:
-
-
A new review must be created.

This preserves the audit integrity of the original review session.
7. Exporting the Completed Review (Optional)
After completing the review:
