Photo List Relationships and Exclusions

Prevent the field crew from taking duplicate photos for the same photo in closeout packages for the primary customer and for the site owner. Save time on site by using Photo List Relationships and Exclusions.

Pathwave guides crews through the pictures you need and eliminates return visits. In Pathwave Photo Lists, you can create photo lists and photo labels needed for site walks, close out packages, punchlists, customers, site owners, and photos specific to a job. Photos are automatically labeled, organized, date/time stamped, and tailored to the job. Learn more about building Primary and Site Owner photo lists in Pathwave.

Build relationships between two photo lists

Photo list relationships are used to prevent the need to take duplicate photos in the field.

When are photo list relationships helpful?

When the same photos are required for different closeout packages for a job with different naming conventions, build a relationship between the photos in Pathwave.

For example, when a primary customer requires a photo of the "Site Placard" and a site owner requires photos for "Site Signage", the crew can take one photo (or one set of photos) in the field to fulfill both closeout package requirements. The photos are automatically mapped to both closeout packages, saving time in the field fulfilling photo requirements while guaranteeing requirements are still met.

To build a relationship between photos in Pathwave:

  1. Navigate to Configuration > Photo Lists > Manage Relationships
  2. Select a Primary photo list and a Site Owner photo list
  3. To add a relationship select a photo from the Primary photo list and select a photo from the Site Owner photo list using the link mceclip0.png icon.

  4. The relationship between the two photos populates the Add Relationship module and select Save.

Build exclusions between two photo lists

Photo list exclusions are used to prevent the need to take unnecessary photos in the field for particular closeout package requirements.

When are photo list exclusions helpful?

When closeout package requirements for a site owner change based on the primary customer, build an exclusion between the photos in Pathwave. Set up exclusions for site owner photos based on a primary photo list without changing the site owner photo list.

For example, a site owner or vertical realtor may not require specific photos for a project with a particular carrier but they require those photos in all other instances and projects.

To build an exclusion between photos in Pathwave:

  1. Navigate to Configuration > Photo Lists > Manage Relationships
  2. Select a Primary photo list and a Site Owner photo list
  3. To add an exclusion, use the mceclip1.png button on the Site Owner photo to be excluded.

  4. When this combination of the Primary and Site Owner photo lists are selected on a job, the excluded photos on the site owner photo list do not appear on the photo list for the job.
