Job Creation Options in Pathwave: Integrations, Bulk Uploads, and Manual Jobs
Scalable Options for Integrating, Uploading, and Creating Jobs in Pathwave
Pathwave supports multiple ways to create and manage jobs, designed to meet the needs of both high-volume enterprise partners and smaller teams.
For enterprise partners managing a large number of projects across multiple systems, the most efficient and scalable approach is to connect Pathwave directly to your existing project management or construction management platforms. From there, jobs can be created and maintained automatically, with bulk upload options available as a secondary path. For smaller teams, jobs can also be created manually in the Pathwave portal.
This article walks through:
- System-to-System Integration (Recommended for High-Volume Partners)
- Bulk Job Uploads via Template
- Manual Job Creation in the Pathwave Portal
1. System-to-System Integration (Recommended for High-Volume Partners)
For partners who manage a high volume of projects, a direct integration between Pathwave and your source-of-record systems is essential for scale, data quality, and operational efficiency.
With an integration in place, jobs can be:
- Created automatically in Pathwave as they are opened in your internal systems.
- Kept in sync as project attributes change (e.g., identifiers, locations, scopes, status).
- Populated with the correct job details required for field execution, safety workflows, and closeout deliverables.
Pathwave offers a public API that allows your technical teams to:
- Push new jobs into Pathwave programmatically.
- Update existing jobs with project identifiers and metadata.
- Align job creation with your existing workflows, approvals, and business logic.
Next Step: View Pathwave’s API documentation: Click Here Share this with your technical team.
Once your team has reviewed the API, Pathwave can partner with you to define the best integration pattern and rollout plan.
2. Bulk Job Uploads via Template
For partners who are not yet integrated, or who need to onboard a large set of jobs quickly (e.g., a program launch, a new region, or a new customer), Pathwave supports bulk job uploads.
When to Use Bulk Uploads
Bulk uploads are ideal when:
- You have dozens or hundreds of jobs that need to be created at once.
- Your jobs exist today in spreadsheets or exports from other systems.
- You are preparing for a new program, work order batch, or pilot and want everything set up before field work begins.
How Bulk Job Uploads Work
- Request the Bulk Job Template (one time request)
- Email support@pathwave.com to request the latest Job Load Template.
- Template
- Populate the Template
- Your team completes the template with the required job details (such as job name, location, identifiers, and any required Pathwave fields).
- Submit to Pathwave
- Send the completed template back to support@pathwave.com.
- Our team will validate the file and complete the bulk upload into your Pathwave portal.
- Review and Confirm
- Once the upload is complete, your jobs will appear in the portal and be available to assign to crews, build out safety workflows, and begin capturing field data.
3. Manual Job Creation in the Pathwave Portal
For smaller partners, or for one-off jobs that do not require a bulk process, jobs can be created directly in the Pathwave portal. Manual creation is also useful for quick test jobs, training jobs, or special cases.
Steps to Create a Job
3.1 Access the Jobs Tab
- Log in to the Pathwave portal.
- Navigate to the Jobs tab.
- Select + Add Job.

A map will be displayed with a search bar where you can enter the job location and select or set the site.
3.2 Search Options
You can search for sites using several methods:
- Pathwave Site ID
- For sites imported from the FCC, this is the Antenna Structure Registration Number (ASR) assigned by the FCC.
- For manually entered sites, this is the ID assigned when the site was created.
- Coordinates
- Full Address
- Partial Address
- Airport Codes

3.3 Using the Map
Tower Site Icons
- Small black tower icons on the map indicate available tower sites registered with the FCC.
- Pathwave pulls these sites through an FCC integration, so users do not need to manually enter tower details when a matching FCC site exists.

Manually Setting a Job Location
If a tower site is not available or does not apply:
-
Use your mouse or trackpad to scroll/zoom in as far as possible on the map to improve location accuracy.
-
It is best to complete this step in satellite mode for higher precision.
-
Drag the red location icon to the correct location.
-
Double-click the icon to add the job at that location.
