1.1 What Is Live Stream in Pathwave?
A real-time video connection between back-office reviewers and field crews. See what the field sees, as it happens.
Overview
Live Stream in Pathwave is a real-time video review tool that remotely connects back-office reviewers directly to the job site. Field crews share their mobile camera feed live, giving reviewers a real-time view from anywhere on the job site as work is being performed.
Live Stream is part of Pathwave's Quality Review Program, a connected suite of tools that enables photo review, live video, and recorded video clips across the full delivery chain. Live Stream enables teams to catch issues earlier, make decisions faster, and eliminate return trips to site that slow down project completion.
Why Live Stream Matters
Live Stream provides reviewers a live view into the site. Before a session begins, reviewers often already have context from standard and consistent photo capture from the field, utilizing Quality Review to identify remaining issues and come to the call prepared. Live Stream becomes a targeted, high-value conversation for reviewers to use the live feed to validate what they've already seen, direct the crew to specific areas, and confirm or resolve issues in real time.
The primary objectives of a Live Stream session are:
-
Quality audits to conduct remote live scope reviews.
-
Safety audits for real-time hazard identification and compliance verification with crews on site.
-
Scope of work reviews by walking through planned or in-progress work with field crews before or during execution.
-
Punch item validation to confirm corrective actions have been completed directly with the crew.
-
Accountability and documentation to build a richer record of field conditions to supplement and validate photo captures.
Live Stream is designed to complement Quality Review and photo capture but can also stand alone. It is especially valuable for full site walk-throughs and situations where real-time clarification makes the difference between a clean closeout and a return visit.
Where Live Stream Fits in Your Workflow
Live Stream is one of three tools in Pathwave's Quality Review Program:
-
Live Photo Review — Field crews submit photos for back-office quality review. Reviewers accept or reject each image, add annotations, and flag issues.
-
Live Stream — Real-time video connection between the field and the office. See what the crew sees as it happens.
-
Video Clips — Field crews record short video segments from the job site for asynchronous review.
Live Stream is initiated from a Job in the Pathwave portal. Once a meeting is created, the Host connects with Field Staff in real time and can capture screenshots, annotate the video feed, and perform quality review actions.
