Pathwave provides a comprehensive library of common field activities, each with associated hazards and mitigations. This article will guide you through adding job tasks to a JSA, ensuring all relevant hazards and measures are included.




Managing Safety Tasks in Pathwave

Partners have full control over the safety tasks within Pathwave. You can view, modify, add, or remove tasks as needed.

  1. Navigate to Safety Tasks

    • From the portal, go to Configuration on the left-hand menu.
    • Select Safety Tasks.
  2. View and Edit Safety Tasks

    • You will see a list of existing safety tasks. To modify a task, select it and click Edit.
    • Make the necessary changes to the task details, hazards, or mitigations.
  3. Add New Safety Tasks

    • If you need to add a new task, click the blue + Add icon.
    • Enter the task details, including associated hazards and mitigations, and save the new task.
  4. Activate/Deactivate Tasks

    • You can activate or deactivate tasks in bulk by selecting the tasks and choosing the appropriate option.
    • This feature helps you manage which tasks are available for use in JSAs.

Steps to Add Job Tasks to a JSA

  1. Access the JSA

    • Log in to Pathwave and navigate to the JSA section where you will complete the Job Safety Analysis with your crew.
  2. Select Job Tasks

    • While completing the JSA, you can select the tasks your crew will perform. Pathwave will automatically pull the associated hazards and mitigations for each task into the JSA.
  3. Review Hazards and Mitigations

    • Review the automatically included hazards and mitigations with your crew to ensure everyone is aware of the safety measures in place.
