Complete site walks in Pathwave to include on-site and pre-construction photos and to build out the scope of work to prepare for the job build out. When conducting a site walk with Pathwave, the same job can be used for the site walk and for the build out of the job.

Create a Job
When conducting a site walk with Pathwave, the same job can be used for the site walk and for the build out of the job. First, create the job in the Pathwave Portal. When adding a job, select a closeout package that includes a pre-construction photo list.
Need a closeout package that includes a pre-construction photo list? Build a photo list in Configuration > Photo Lists or get support.
Once the job is created, set the job to the "Ready" status when the team is ready to perform the site walk using the iPad app.
Take Pictures for Site Walks
To start a site walk, first find the job you are working. Once the job is located, you can start taking pictures and building out the scope.
To start taking pictures:
- Navigate to the job on the Pathwave iPad app by Finding a Job
- Select "Photos" on the Job Details from the bottom navigation
- Select the Site Walk or Pre-Con Photo Category to start taking pictures
Site Walk Pictures for Internal Use and Closeout Packages
The site walk or pre-construction photos can be included or excluded from generated Closeout Packages.
If site walk photos are needed for internal use only, build an Internal photo list with the Site Walk photos. When site walk photos are built as an Internal photo list:
- The site walk or pre-con photos are included in the All Photos link for the job.
- The site walk or pre-con photos are not included in the generated Closeout Packages.
If site walk photos are needed for internal use and customer use, build a Primary or Site Owner photo list and include Site Walk photos in a Site Walk folder. When site walk photos are built as a Primary or Site Owner photo list:
- The site walk or pre-con photos are included in the All Photos link for the job.
- The site walk or pre-con photos are included in the generated Closeout Packages.
Build Out the Scope of Work
To build out the scope of work and communicate the scope of work to the crew in the future:
- Navigate to the job on the Pathwave iPad app by Finding a Job
- Select "Notes" on the Job Details from the bottom navigation
- Select "+" to add a Note
- Set the Note Type to "Scope of Work"
- Tap the gray box to start documenting scope of work for the site.
The crew that works on the job can access to the notes for the job from the iPad app to view the Scope of Work.
Start the Job
Once the site walk is complete, set the job back to the "Planning" status until the crew is ready to start working the job. When the crew is ready to start working the job, set the job back to the "Ready" status.
