Use Selfie or Regular Cameras to take Photos
Switch between front and back cameras to take photos. Expanded photo taking options to meet all photo requirements - even in tricky places. Available for Beta Cam.
Take Photos with Volume Buttons
Use the volume buttons to snap a picture for a convenient and efficient photo-taking experience. Available for Beta Cam.
Capture Azimuth Data for Photos
Embed Azimuth data on photos taken in the Pathwave app. Capture the bearing and directional data by enabling the compass icon when taking a photo. Learn how to capture azimuth data and require azimuth data for certain customer requirements. Available for Beta Cam.
Upload Photos from Device Gallery
Upload photos from the device’s camera roll to the Pathwave app. Go to a photo label in the app and select the “+” button. Useful for capturing screenshots from a measurement app or screenshots of test data and uploading the screenshot to the Pathwave mobile app. Available for Beta Cam.
Scan Barcodes in Forms
Capture barcodes and answer questions without manually entering long strings of numbers. In a form, tap the scan button, scan the barcode, and the data is entered automatically and accurately. Save time typing serial numbers and model numbers into forms. Reach out to us if any existing forms can be updated to include scanning barcodes.
Capture Current Geolocation in Forms
Automatically capture the current location in a form. Answer questions on forms during audits and inspections with the precise current location. Reach out to us if any existing forms can be updated to include a current geolocation stamp.
An upcoming release for Pathwave iOS and Android Apps is scheduled on Saturday, August 19, 2023 starting at 10:00 pm CT. For Pathwave-supplied devices, the Pathwave app is automatically updated when an update is released when:
- iPad is turned on
- Battery is 20% or higher (higher the better)
- Online with reliable connection
- Pathwave app is closed on the iPad
- Offline data - JSAs and photos - are synced
